Baldy Hudson

Donald Ray “Baldy” Hudson, 84 of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in Seymour.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Riverview Cemetery with Melissa Hudson officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Baldy was born on May 12, 1940 in Lamesa, Texas to Tom and Lillian Coon Hudson.  He attended school in Throckmorton, moving to Seymour in 1960.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Baldy married Nancy Vaden in Waurika, Oklahoma on January 15, 1961.  He later married Sheryl Ruthrauff on September 21, 1980 in Seymour.  Sheryl preceded him in death.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Lajuana Hudson and Misty Bernstein and husband, Blaine; 3 sons, Donald Joe Hudson, Jody Hudson and wife, Shelly and Jay Hudson and wife, Betty; 2 brothers, Glen Hudson and Jim Hudson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
