Billy Ray Griffice, 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock with Dr. John Ballard, officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

He was born October 16, 1928 in Big Spring Grover Cleveland and Mamie Virginia Digby Griffice. He married Wanda Fay Hughes in Big Spring in 1949. Billy Ray moved his wife and children to Saudi Arabia in Ras Tanura where he worked as an electrician for Aramco for 22 years. After his retirement, he moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico and later to Lubbock. In 2008, he moved to Wichita Falls. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Fay, and a son, Bruce Wayne Griffice.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl Smith and husband, Tim of Wichita Falls and Kay Fore and husband, Jerry of Spring; 4 grandchildren, Erin, Eric, Amy and Kyle; 5 great grandchildren, Jake, Erica, Gage, Hunter and Makayla; and 2 sisters, Betty Barnett and Tincie Ory.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at Lakeridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock.
