Brenda H. Dickson, 75, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Seymour.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Darrell Patterson, officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Brenda was born March 2, 1941 in Goree to Billie and Ruth Miller Hutchens. She was a graduate of Goree High School. Brenda married Joe Dickson on June 25, 1960 at the Goree First United Methodist Church in Goree. She worked as a bookkeeper for Harmel Oil Company and was a Deputy Clerk at the Baylor County Clerk's Office. She was a member of the Red River Emmaus and the Child Welfare Board. Brenda was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seymour where she was active in the choir and served as a MYF sponsor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Ruth Hutchens; her step-father, Al Wilson; a brother, Larry Hutchens; and a special brother-in-law, Charlie Merrill.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Dickson of Seymour; a son, Jon David Dickson and wife, Rebecca of Seymour; a daughter, Juli Keehn and husband, Darrell of Seymour; 7 grandchildren, Cody Dickson and wife, Lacey of Seymour, Ty Dickson of Kentucky, Jayla Sanchez and husband, Zach of Munday, Jocelyn Reaves and husband, Laramie of Seymour, Kobie Decker and wife, Emily of Munday, Rylie Decker of Munday and Sophia Fentor of Seymour; 6 great grandchildren, Lexi Dickson, Kylie Dickson, Clay Dickson, Graham Reaves, Parks Sanchez and Laynie Rae Reaves; a sister, Johnnie Merrill of Austin; a step-brother, Howard Wilson and wife, Cindy of Austin; one aunt, several nieces and nephews, several cousins and a special lap friend, Louie.

The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church, 1025 W. California, Seymour, Texas 76380.

Visitation will follow the memorial services in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church.
