He and his loving wife, Mona Kay Wardlaw, moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 2020. Brent was married to Mona Kay Wardlaw for 45 years. Brent graduated from Seymour High School and attended college at Texas Tech University, where his love for the Red Raiders was born. He was a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society, the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, the Emmaus Community, Lions Club Bake Sale, the Red Raider Club, and most near and dear to his heart, supporting the Baylor County Junior Stockshow. He enjoyed spending his time anywhere near the ocean, keeping up with the Red Raiders, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, as well as entertaining friends. Brent was known for his zest for life. His ability to bring smiles and community to every conversation he was in, whether a family member or complete stranger, you knew Brent not only valued your presence, but wanted to make sure you knew you were loved and welcome. He is preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Dick Wardlaw. Brent was a devoted husband, father and loyal friend to many.
