Charlotte (Boone) Howell

Charlotte Ann Howell, of Seymour, passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 76.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6 at the First Baptist Church of Seymour, Texas, with Dr. David Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Charlotte was born on July 21, 1945, to Claude and Willie Boone in Seymour, Texas. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1963 and later graduated from Texas Tech University with her teaching degree. She married Glenn Ray Howell on January 1, 1965, in Seymour, Texas. She enjoyed teaching school during their time in Paducah. Charlotte and Glenn Ray purchased Texas Floral in 1978 and moved back to Seymour. They worked side-by-side for 26 years until retiring in 2004.

Charlotte made everyone she met feel loved and appreciated. She enjoyed knitting and sending cards of encouragement to her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Boone.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glenn Ray Howell; son, David Howell and wife,Tammi, of Seymour; daughter, Amy Burnett, and husband, Lance, of Seymour; 6 grandchildren, Hayden & Danielle Frank of Shallowater, Melani & Colin Harris of Lubbock, Allison Burnett of Seymour, Laura Howell of Lubbock, Lindsay & Josh Holub of Seymour, and Jacie & Dillon Fox of Seymour.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 5, from 6-7 p.m. at Archer Funeral Home.
