Curtis Glen Langston, 91 of Seymour, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 11, 2023 with his daughters, Alicia and Jaki at his bed side.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Baylor County Cowboy Church with Chad Houck officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Curtis was born November 11, 1931, the 8th of 9 children, born to Charlie and Lera Langston. He attended Gilliland school. He joined the Army at the age of 16 and went to Korea in 1951. He came home in 1952, where he was stationed at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Curtis met and married his first wife, Barbara Heidtke. Together, they had 4 children. He later married Betty Riley and had 1 child. He eventually met and married Faye Young Bradley.
Curtis worked in the trades until he began driving semi-trucks. He enjoyed driving for 8 years before going to work for Skelly Oil Company. He retired at the age of 60 and made his home in Seymour.
Curtis was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Carol; his wife, Faye; his parents; 4 brothers; 4 sisters and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his children, Jaki Welter of Seymour, Terry Michael and Corrine of Evansville, Wisconsin, Sharon and Marc Oliver of Albany, Wisconsin, Alicia Langston and Harvey Dellis of Canyon, Richard and Kathy Bradley of Dallas, Terry and Nicole Bradley of Weatherford and Barbara Lind of Wichita Falls; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls or the Baylor County Cowboy Church.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
