David E Scott

David Earl Scott, 58, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Seymour.

Services will be Monday, March 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Ford, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

David was born December 27, 1957 in Knox City. He attended Seymour High School. He married Ona Lea Bice on December 28, 1975 in Seymour. David lived his life's dream hunting. He was a real live off the land kind of man. He loved his wife and kids fiercely and was the best Paw Paw ever.

He is survived by his wife, Lea Scott of Seymour; 1 daughter, Shana Brock and husband, Brandon of Seymour; 2 sons, Danny Bill Scott and wife, Shannon of Rush Springs, Ok., and John Hardy Scott of Seymour; his mother, Neva Nell Elliott of Princeton; 3 granddaughters, Tegan Dally Thompson, Whitney Young and Coby Nunley, and Ashley Young; 5 grandsons, Slade Boy Thompson, Hayden Scott, Hardy David Scott, Hunter Brenen Scott and Riggs Brock; 1 great grandson, Gunner Wayne Nunley; 3 brothers, Randy Elliott of Wichita Falls, Larry Elliott of Seymour and James Elliott of El Campo; and 1 sister, Leann Elliott of Princeton.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
