Seymour

Delissa Copeland, 56 of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Seymour.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the City Park in Seymour.  Cremation arrangements under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Delissa was born August 20, 1965 in Hereford to Bobby and Joy Atkins Wright.  She attended school in Newark and Chico.  Delissa married Steve Copeland on June 26, 1999 in Seymour.  She spent her life as a caregiver and helping her husband with his painting business.  There’s probably not a house or business in Seymour that the couple hadn’t painted multiple times or drove by and commented that it needed to be painted.  Delissa was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Wright; a step-son, Shane Copeland and all sets of grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Copeland and their dog, Cowboy of Seymour; her mother, Joy Weatherly of Bridgeport; 2 sisters, Katy Bruce of Seymour and Sandra Wright of Bridgeport; a brother, Jeff and Hollie Wright of New Fairview; the children of her heart, Eric Bob and girlfriend, Tiffany of Seymour and Amy and David Vickers; 3 grandchildren, Pepper, Sam and Ace all of Albany; her god-daughter, Alyssa Copeland and boyfriend, Thomas Corrigan and their child, Thomas David Corrigan; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
