Dennis M Kinnibrugh

February 24, 1952 — December 1, 2019

Dennis Mac Kinnibrugh, 67 of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Seymour.

A committal service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Vera Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Dennis was born February 24, 1952 in Knox City to Levoy and Peggy Horn Kinnibrugh. He attended Benjamin and Seymour Schools. Dennis owned and operated Kinnibrugh Backhoe Service and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his dad and mom, Levoy and Peggy.

He was forward and as sharp as the crease on his hat, shirt, and jeans, yet his Texas size heart would leave a trail of tears at the drop of that hat. He was hilariously funny, but reality did bite and certainly left its mark. He could skillfully do anything. He was a man’s man, used words like spurs that dig in and urge you on. Quit was a cuss word. Did his fair share of fence mending in result. He feared little, only God. In fact, he was so brave that he opted to do some things the hard way, but the job got done.

“You could take the boy out of the country, but you couldn’t take the country out of the boy.” That cliche really fits him like broke-in, deer skinned gloves. He loved the land and all that roamed it. The view from the back of one of its creatures was preferred.

He loved hard and deep. His huge personality will be missed by his friends, brother, sister, son, and daughter. His grandkids melted his heart and pride for them and God was as consistent as the sunrise.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammie Trainham of Goree; his son, Kenan Kinnibrugh of Seymour; a sister, Donna Wooters of Round Rock; a brother, Doug Kinnibrugh of Austin and 6 grandchildren.
