Dennis Ray Marek

Dennis Ray Marek, 75 of Seymour, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 in Wichita Falls

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bose Jujuvarapu officiating.  Burial will be in Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Munday, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Dennis was born on April 3, 1947 in Seymour to Roger Victor and Lillian Frances Solora Marek, Jr.  He was a 1966 graduate of Seymour High School and received his certification in Diesel Mechanics from TSTI in Sweetwater.  He married Barbara Jennings on March 1, 1969 in Rhineland.  She preceded him in death on January 19, 2022.  Dennis worked as a diesel mechanic all his life in Munday and Seymour.  He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include his son, Brient and Felicia Marek of Seymour; a sister, Beverly and Barry Fisher of Decatur and 6 grandchildren, Avery, Payton and Kade Marek and Alanna, Marissa and Lorena Garcia.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
