Dorothy (Morgan) Howe

Dorothy Howe, 93 of Seymour, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 in Seymour.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Roberts officiating.  Burial will be in the Round Timber Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born January 24, 1930 in Baylor County to E.C. and Bessie Jones Morgan.  She was a graduate of Seymour High School and worked as a ward clerk for the Seymour Hospital.  She married Billy Mac Howe, Sr. in 1947 in Seymour.  Dorothy loved to sing and play the piano, gardening and giving advice.  She was preceded in death by her parents, E.C. and Bessie Howe; her husband, Billy Mac Howe, Sr.; her great grandson, Jayten Glen Hudson; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda and Jerry Nickerson of Seymour; 2 sons, Billy Mac and Janie Howe, Jr. and Phillip and Lynn Howe all of Seymour; 2 sisters, Virginia Wall of Seymour and Carolyn Hudson of Olney; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Round Timber Cemetery Association or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
