Douglas Levoy Kinnibrugh passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2022 at the age of 73. He was born on March 30, 1949 in Knox City, Tx to parents Levoy and Peggy Horn Kinnibrugh, both of whom preceded him in death. Douglas was also preceded in death by his younger brother Dennis Kinnibrugh.
Douglas spent most of his younger years in Seymour and Lubbock, Texas. He retired in the Austin area to be closer to his family and grandchildren. He had many great memories of his family ranch, enjoying riding horses and hunting. He loved football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Douglas enjoyed being around his grandchildren Madisyn, Brayden and Abigail.
Douglas is survived by his best friend Gwen Kinnibrugh of Liberty Hill, his daughters Kendal Houx and husband Daniel of Ft. Worth, Stephanie Kinnibrugh and husband Brett Taylor of Austin, Kim Price and husband Chase Price of Liberty Hill, Texas. He is also survived by sister Donna Wooters of Round Rock. He also had six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Douglas was a loving, supportive father, grandfather (Papa) and friend. His family is extremely proud of his 25 years of his sobriety and will be forever grateful for the memories and time spent with him. He will be missed terribly.
Memorial services will be held at the Community Center in Vera, TX on Saturday, January 14th at 11 am. under the direction of Archer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local Intergroup Alcoholics Anonymous.
