Eddie Earl Chandler, affectionately known as PePaw, passed away peacefully In Hospice of Wichita Falls, on December 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 2:30 at Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Born on April 28, 1945, in Seymour, Texas, to Johnny and Ida Ruth Crouch Chandler, Eddie was a cherished father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His life was marked by his dedication to family and his passion for welding, oil field and machinery.
Eddie graduated from Seymour High School and proudly served in the United States Army. Upon returning home, he embarked on a career at the Seymour Machine Shop as a welder and machinist. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Brazos Welding with his brother, George. Even after retirement, Eddie continued to work with Daylight Petroleum, contributing as a pumper and roustabout.
On November 6, 1971, Eddie married Beverly Kotulek, the love of his life, in Seymour, Texas. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Michelle Stripling, married to MW, and Crystal Gilley, married to Jason Gilley. Eddie's grandchildren, Jacob and Kaytlin Stripling, and Chandler Barrett, were the light of his life.
Eddie is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly; his daughters and their families; his brother, Gerald Dale Chandler, and wife Winona; his sister, Johnnie Mae Skinner, and husband Raymond; sisters-in-law Janice Chandler and Shirley Chandler; Sister-in-law Jane Kotulek Trusty, and Husband Danny; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Jimmy, and Belvin Chandler, and sisters, Ida Bell Jones and Elaine Owens.
Pallbearers Glenn Peters, Jerry Rhoudes, Lambert Rhoudes, Bryan Hendley, Jacob Stripling, Chandler Barrett.
Eddie's family requests that donations be made in his memory to Seymour Baylor County EMS or Hospice of Wichita Falls. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will Monday December 16, from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Archer Funeral Home.
