Eddie Dewayne Daniel

Eddie DeWayne Daniel, 60 of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Seymour with K.C. Green and Joe Mac Petit officiating.  Burial will be in the Henson Cemetery in Red Springs under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Eddie was born August 9, 1963 in Wichita Falls to Cotton and Billie Turnbow Daniel and attended school in Vernon.  He worked on ranches all his life, spending time on the Waggoner Ranch, Cowan Ranch, Moorhouse Ranch, Smith Cattle Ranch and various ranches around Texas.  He ended his career working for his son-in-law, Jerred Slaggle.  He married Julie Moore on June 4, 1994 in Seymour.  Eddie was a beloved father, husband, granddad, brother and uncle.  He was a father figure to many.  He was always on the go and never liked sitting still.  He loved his grandbabies, cooking out, hog trapping, fishing, taking care of his chickens but most importantly, spending time with his family.  Eddie was full of life, witty, loving and so very humble.  He was a man that would give the shirt off his back to anyone.  He was a low maintenance man living in a high maintenance world.  Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Cotton and Billie Daniel and his brother, Shawn Daniel.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Daniel of Seymour; 5 children, Kandis and Josh Veretto of Wolfforth, Chris and Rebecca Moore of Burnet, Audry and Tanner Altman of Hereford, Tammy and Bryan Ray of Clyde and Brittany and Jerred Slaggle of Seymour; a sister, Sherrie and Chet Campsey of Vernon; 12 grandchildren; an uncle, Mike Turnbow; his mother-in-law, Kathy Moore; 2 sisters-in-law, Susan and Kelly Spinks and Sunni Rose; 2 brothers-in-law, Greg Moore and James Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Henson Cemetery Association.
