Faye Robertson

Faye Robertson, 94 of Seymour, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Seymour.

Services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at the Church of Christ with John Adams officiating. Burial will be in Henson Cemetery in Red Springs under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Dorothy Faye was born March 10, 1923 in Gilliland to Barney and Ethel Miller Welch. She was a graduate of Vera High School. She married Morris Edward Robertson on January 7, 1944 in Wichita Falls. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Morris Robertson; a brother, L.D. Welch; a step-sister, Reba Vehon; and 2 step-brothers, Finis Bratcher and Hope Bratcher.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Evelyn Montgomery and husband, Charles of Seymour and Linda Cantrell and husband, Jerry of Rowlett; 4 grandchildren, Jerred Slaggle and wife, Brittany, Melissa Bates and husband, Kyle, Justin Cantrell and wife, Kristen and Stephanie Nichols and husband, Micah; 8 great grandchildren; 2 nieces, Wanda Russell and Shannon Bratcher; a nephew, Lloyd Don Welch; and a sister-in-law, Flo Bratcher.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Henson Cemetery Association or Kindred Hospice.
