Freddie Lee Johnson, 60, of Seymour passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Harvest Christian Fellowship with Sonny Smart officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Freddie was born November 1, 1956 in Brenham to W.J. and Lonnie B. McCullen Johnson. He received Christ and was baptized at an early age at Main Street Baptist Church in Brenham. He was a 1975 graduate of Brenham High School. Freddie joined the Army and served in Special Forces. He later attended truck driving school and was certified as a cross country truck driver. He drove from the east coast to the west coast and everywhere in between for many years until his health began to fail him. In 1980, he met and fell in love with Debra Goodwin. The couple married on August 19, 1991 in Seymour. Freddie loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Mason Goodwin; a brother, Chris Johnson; a sister, Patricia Johnson and a nephew, Douglas Keith Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Goodwin Johnson of Seymour; a son, Audie Goodwin of Seymour; his mother, Lonnie B. Johnson of Austin; 3 brothers, Robert Johnson of Navasota, Kevin Johnson and wife, Latresia and David Johnson all of Austin; 4 sisters, Shirley Henderson, Carrie Pittman and Irene Johnson all of Austin and Darlene Culpepper and husband, Byron of Houston; his father and mother-in-law, Gene and Billie Goodwin of Seymour; a sister-in-law, Gina Anz of Olney; 6 grandchildren, Nick Goodwin, Vanessa Goodwin, A.J. Goodwin, Nevaeh Washington, Shaely Cruthird and Will Cruthird; 1 great grandson, Mason Tyler Goodwin and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 Tuesday at the funeral home.
