Gloria (Frausto) Leal

Gloria Leal, 80 of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Sara Lopez officiating.  Burial will be in the Vera Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Gloria was born on April 8, 1944 in Pearsall, Texas to Julian and Jesusa Navarro Frausto.  She attended school in Pearsall and married Rudy Leal on December 30, 1959 in Pearsall.  The couple moved to Seymour in 1961 where she worked for the Seymour Elementary School for several years.  Gloria loved her children and grandchildren but most importantly, she loved her Lord.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Jesusa Frausto; her husband, Rudy Leal; infant daughter, Rachel Leal; 2 brothers, Joe Frausto and Julian Frausto, Jr.; 2 sisters, Josie Hernandez and Alvina Leal and a great granddaughter, Amaya Fernandez.

She is survived by 2 sons, Tony Leal and wife, Karen of Seymour and Rudy Leal, Jr. and wife, Susan of Throckmorton; 4 daughters, Conchita Torrez and husband, Robert of Seymour, Diana Leal of Throckmorton, Teresa Leal and husband, Rene Gonzalez of Wichita Falls and Inez Brown of Seymour; of her 18 grandchildren, Gloria raised 3 grandsons, Michael and Ashley Leal, Jason and Rhonda Leal and Tony and Kendra Leal.  She is also survived by many great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 2 sisters, Mary Serrato and Cande Flores and 1 brother, Ruben Frausto.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
