Grace W Loving

Grace Wynelle Loving, of Seymour, Texas passed away at the age of 91 on October 31, 2015 in Liberty Texas.

Grace was born in Seymour Texas on June 12, 1924 to Mora Slowman McGuire and James Bowden McGuire, of Vera . She grew up in Seymour Texas where she and her two sisters Genevieve and Jeanette attended Seymour High School. Grace went on to attend the Music Conservatory of Amarillo where she played the piano and later attended Texas Tech University. During the war, Grace a true to life “Rosie the Riveter,” helped her country by working at an aircraft assembly plant in the Fort Worth area. From there she went on to work for the GTE corporation as a switch board operator and decades later retired from the same company. Grace, an avid angler, gardener, animal lover and photographer was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Seymour and a lifelong Eastern Star member.
Grace is survived by her children, Kay Dozier and her husband Lynn of Slidell, LA, son, Ken J. Speck and his wife Debbie of Dayton, TX. Stepchildren Shirley Claiborne and her husband Tom of Arlington, Tony Loving and his wife Wanda of Dayton. She is also survived by numerous loving grandchildren and even more adoring great grandchildren. Grace is also survived by her sister, Genevieve Morris and her husband George Ed of Lubbock as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Weldon Odell “Curly” Loving of Seymour and sister Jeanette McGuire Pechacek also of Seymour.

There will be a family gathering Saturday, February 13th at 11 am at Archer Funeral Home in Seymour, followed by a celebration of life and burial at 12 pm at the Vera cemetery in Vera Texas, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home

Grace was a God loving woman who enjoyed life, family and friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others. Granny.. You will be missed but not forgotten.
