Ina Blayne Price, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away at the age of 87 peacefully at her home on August 9th, 2021, in Seymour, Texas.
She was born on July 12th, 1934 in Waco, Texas to her loving parents, James Paul and Jewel Hutchison.
Ina graduated from La Vega High School and completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She was married to LG Reeves on August 21st, 1953 and had 3 sons. They moved to Louisville Kentucky in 1965. While living in Louisville and raising her 3 sons, Ina was a devoted Cub Scout Den Mother, Cub Scout Pack Leader and later served on the Old Kentucky Home Board of the Boy Scouts of America. Ina was a stockbroker and then went on to become one of the first female Industrial Salespeople in the Petrochemical Industry.
Ina married Bill Price in 1983. Together they ran an Oil Field Services company in Odessa Texas, as well as an Antiques and Collectibles business. Ina’s pride was her family that she loved with all she held dear. She was a devout Christian, lover of the Bible, member of the First Baptist Church of Seymour, Texas and she shared her love of Jesus Christ with all she knew. Ina Blayne was also a fan of the college sports and enjoyed University of Kentucky Basketball and Baylor University Football.
To know Ina Blayne was to love her. Ina was an artist, painter, and illustrator at heart, and loved her greeting card company. Ina loved to read, spend time with her family, and love on her cat’s- Sassy and Bitsy. She loved volunteering and spent many years volunteering at Friends of the Library in Seymour. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ina. She loved a quiet evening with family/friends and a glass of wine in hand. Ina had a great sense of humor and lovely personality that was adored by all that knew and loved her.
Ina is survived by L.G. Reeves of Ft. Meyers, FL., son Roy Reeves and wife Stephanie of Poetry, Texas, grandson’s Levi and Samuel Reeves, sister Barbara Sutter of Victoria, nieces Kathy Evetts, Holly Taylor and Lynda Winne. Also, she had many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces that she adored. Ina is preceded in death by Bill Price (husband), and son’s David Reeves and Paul Reeves.
A memorial service and celebration to honor the life of Ina Blayne Price will be held Saturday August 21st, at 10am - First Baptist Church in Seymour, Texas (420 N Washington St, Seymour, TX 76380).
Memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
