Irene Hrncirik Green

Irene Patricia Hrncirik Green, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed from this life to her heavenly home on January 5, 2016, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Irene was born June 6, 1931, in Seymour, TX to Emil and Vlasta (Vita) Hrncirik. She was the oldest of five children and grew up on a farm outside of Seymour. As a young girl she was a talented seamstress and perfected her skill by sewing clothes for her younger siblings. After graduating from Seymour High School in 1948, she married Arlin Kinnibrugh in 1949. They resided in Wichita Falls and Seymour while raising their children, Michael and Cynthia. She married Lee M. Green in 1974 and resided in Houston, Texas until 2006. In 2006, she moved to Duncan, Oklahoma to live near family. She was very dedicated and enjoyed her work as a medical secretary at Dr. W. B. Adams's clinic in Wichita Falls and was President of the Wichita Falls Medical Assistants Society. While in Houston she worked at Dr. Robert Totz's clinic for many years. In her spare time, Irene enjoyed collecting & sewing for her children and granddaughters. She spent many hours sewing countless dresses, Halloween costumes, & outfits. She was an active member of many collectors' clubs in Houston. Traveling the world with her husband Lee was another passion of Irene's. She delighted in spending time with her family and especially liked shopping trips. She looked forward to the annual Vita Family Reunion in Seymour each summer and treasured visiting with her extended Vita, Hrncirik, and Ermis family. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a beautiful, devoted, generous, and patient mother and grandmother. She was a Roman Catholic and member of Assumption Catholic Church in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lee M. Green; her parents Emil & Vlasta Hrncirik; and step-son, David Green. She is survived by her children Michael Kinnibrugh and wife Carol of Seymour, Texas, Cynthia Reidenbach and husband Vincent "Butch" of Edmond, Oklahoma; Step-sons Jerry Green and wife Laurie of Houston, Texas, Mark Green and wife Marilyn of Houston, Texas. Sisters Edith Stone and husband Tom of Duncan, Oklahoma, Doris Gray of Houston, Texas; Brothers Victor Hrncirik and wife Donna of Abilene, Texas, Bobby Hrncirik and wife June of Seymour, Texas. Grandchildren Farrah Shutler and husband Jay of Edmond, Oklahoma, Vanessa Pistana and husband Tommy of Keller, Texas, Alana Tobain and husband Ben of Atlanta, Georgia, Kyle Reidenbach & wife Tina of Edmond, Oklahoma, Cliff Kinnibrugh & wife Leslie of Wall, Texas, Michelle Arnson & husband Gabe of Chicago, Illinois, Lee Green of Dallas, Texas, and Katharine Green of Atlanta, Georgia. 11 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Funeral Mass was held Monday, January 11th, 2016 at 2 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 206 N Cedar Street, Seymour, Texas with Father John and Deacon Jim Novak officiating. Interment followed at Seymour Catholic Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seymour Catholic Cemetery Association, P.O Box 562 Seymour, TX 76380 and any hospice organization of your choice.
