Janie Railsback, 65 of Seymour passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Seymour with Francis Marianna, HGN and Deacon Jim Novak officiating.  Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Janie was born September 10, 1956 in San Antonio to Ignacio and Virginia Llanas Medina.  She was a 1976 graduate of Quanah High School and worked as an assistant manager at Allsups in Seymour.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Quanah.  Janie married the love of her life, Gilbert Lee Railsback on September 28, 1985 in Quanah and has wanted nothing more but to be with him since he passed away on August 10th of this year.  She loved going to the casino, her chickens and cats and absolutely adored her family.  Along with her husband, Janie was also preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Virginia Medina; a sister, Terry Rios; a brother, Chris Medina; a niece, Amy Culwell and a nephew, Juan Rios, Jr.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Junior Medina of Mangum, Ok., Mario and Regina Medina of Seymour; 2 sisters, Frances and Gary Medina-Thomas of Childress and Kay Brachwitz and Winford Branch of Seymour; 4 step-daughters, Kimberly and Eric Hollo of Texarkana, Crystal and Brad Coffelt of Rockwall, Ginger and Jamie Prince of DeKalb and Summer Crouch of Nash; 14 grandchildren, Alex and Collin Gordon, Haylee Garner, Tabatha Tutt, Lacey Tutt, Lillian Lopez, Ethan Lopez, Grayson Coffelt, Brittany Runnels, Lauren Prince, Samantha Prince, Ashley and Tanner Toliver, Tyler Phillips, Autumn Crouch and Winter Crouch; 6 great grandchildren Evelynn Gordon, Ariana Proctor, Anthony Proctor, Jaxon Toliver, Colt Toliver, Hudson Prince and Baby Gordon on the way; 2 nieces, Juanita Brachwitz and Gwendolyn Medina; 4 nephews, Gerrad Brachwitz, Cody Medina, Shane Medina and Justin Medina; a great niece, Taylee Rios and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday at the church.
