Janis (Carr) Nees

Jan Nees, 75 of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Seymour.

The family will have a private remembrance at a later date.  Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Janis Arlene Nees was born January 25, 1946 in Monahans, Texas to J.E. Thurston (Bud) and Ruth Logsdon Carr.  She was involved in many activities while in school.  She was a twirler for 3 years and a cheerleader in high school.  Jan was a graduate of LVN school, nursing school and majored in Substance abuse counseling.  She attended school at Vernon Regional Jr. College and Ranger Jr. College.  Jan married Ronnie Nees on September 4, 1976 in Seymour.  She was raised in the Baptist Church and later became a member of the First Assembly of God.

Survivors include her son, Travis Duane Nees of Seymour; a grandson, Boone Nees of Seymour; a brother, Bill Carr of Salem, Oregon; a sister, Amy Alarid of Salem, Oregon and 2 great grandchildren, Skylar and Lain.
