Jerrell W Trainham

Jerrell Wendell Trainham, 83, of Vera, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 in Vera.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at the Vera Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Ford and Jim Frank Coulston, officiating. Burial will be in the Vera Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Jerrell was born December 2, 1932 in Vera to Wesley and Loreta Hughes Trainham. He was a graduate of Vera High School and attended Texas Tech University. While in college, he worked at National Cash Register of Lubbock. He was a United States Army veteran. Jerrell married June A. Rice on February 12, 1965 in Memphis, Texas. The couple made their home in Vera, where he farmed until his death.

Survivors include his wife, June Trainham of Vera; 2 daughters, Eva Ann Crooks and husband, Toby of Abilene and Minka Hasting and husband, Paul of Vera; a son, Kevin Trainham and wife, Dara of Miller Creek; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Brandon and husband, Clifton, Bret Crooks, Stony Trainham and wife, Lanette and Jerrell Wendell Trainham, II; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
