Jesse Johnson

Jesse Johnson, 71, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Seymour.

Memorial services will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church with Dean Nelson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Jesse was born December 27, 1946 in Stamford to J.T. and Madge McMillin Johnson. He attended Stamford schools before joining the U.S. Army. During his military career he served 2 tours in Vietnam. On August 5, 1983, while stationed in Germany, he married Marianne Mann. Following his retirement from the Army in 1987, Jesse worked as a police officer and a sherrifs deputy, retiring in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne Johnson of Seymour; 2 sons, Jason Johnson of Abilene and Danny Johnson of Seymour; a daughter, Susan Hein of Seymour and a granddaughter, Casey Johnson.
