Jo Rozell Stout, 90 of Seymour, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 in Seymour.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Gage officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Ruby Jo Wimberley was born on December 13, 1931 in Stephenville to Lewis Henry and Eva Alice Gordon Wimberley. She graduated in 1950 from Tolar High School and married Luther Lowell Rozell on October 20th of that year. Lowell and Jo moved to Seymour in 1962 when he was assigned here as Game Warden. Jo worked at General Telephone company as an operator, as a dispatcher at the Sheriff’s office and after retirement, at the public library. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell on May 16, 1988. On November 24, 1988, she married Jimmy Stout in Seymour. Jo was proud to say that she was blessed with two very good husbands. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seymour.
Jo is survived by her husband, Jimmy of Seymour; 2 sons, Darrell Rozell of Ft. Worth and James and Kathy Rozell of Seymour; 4 grandchildren, Andrea Rozell of Grapevine, Easton Rozell of Ft. Worth; Blaine and Kate Rozell of Decatur and Dillon Rozell and Zach Reveal of McKinney; 4 great grandchildren, Ava Rozell, Aiden Compton, Emilia and Grant Rozell and 2 step-children, Jimmy Lynn Stout of Seymour and Wendy Jones of Runaway Bay.
The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Seymour or your favorite charity.
