John Walter Byrket

John Walter Byrket, 82, of Seymour, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 in Ft. Worth.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Warren and Jack Hayley officiating.  Cremation arrangement under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

John was born on February 4, 1942 in Seymour to Ernest Lee and Waltra Lillian Fancher Byrket.  He was a graduate of Seymour High School and received an Associates degree from UTA.  Following school.  John worked for Texas Electric for 10 years, was self-employed as a carpenter, worked for Charlie Myers Grain and retired from the Texas Department of Corrections.  Following his retirement, he went to work for the City of Seymour.  John married Judy Anne Reynolds on December 15, 1967 in Wichita Falls.  She preceded him in death on January 30, 2017.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by 2 sons, Alan T. Newman of San Antonio, Texas and Deryl Byrket of North Richland Hills; 2 daughters, Stephanie Scheller and Camillia L. Byrket, both of Wichita Falls and 6 grandchildren.
