June A. Trainham, 85, of Vera, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Abilene.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 4:00 p.m., in the Vera Cemetery with Dr. David Warren, officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

June was born March 28, 1931 in Memphis, Texas to E.C. and Sabra Wilson Rice. She attended school in Memphis and Sanger. June married Jerrell Wendell Trainham on February 12, 1965 in Memphis. She worked as a telephone operator and a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Vera Baptist Church. June was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrell Trainham on February 15, 2016 and a brother, Charles Wilson Rice.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Eva Ann Crooks and husband, Toby of Abilene and Minka Hasting and husband, Paul of Vera; 1 son, Kevin Trainham and wife, Dara of Miller Creek; 1 sister, Linda Young of Bonham; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Brandon and husband, Clifton, Bret Crooks, Stony Trainham and wife, Lanette and Jerrell Wendell Trainham II and wife, Bethany; 10 grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
