Larry J.T. Barton, better known as J.T., passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Archer City Cowboy Church, 316 East Chestnut, Archer City, Texas 76351.

J.T. was born on May 28,, 1978 in Phoenix, Arizona to Larry and Sandra Barton.  He graduated from high school in Monte Vista, Colorado and attended T.S.J.C. for diesel mechanics.  His hobbies were ranching and cowboying.  J.T.'s life was marked by laughter, a sociable spirit and the joy of being among others.  His lively personality and infectious humor brought light and warmth to every room he entered.  The joy of his life and apples of his eye were his two children, Sandra Faye and Ely.  J.T. was preceded in death by his aunt, Wanda Barton, grandparents, J.T. Barton and Chester and Eva Dean.

He is survived by a family that loved him dearly, his two children, Sandra Faye Barton and Ely Barton; his parents, Larry and Sandra Barton; sister, Lori Bonner and husband, James; grandmother, Mildred Barton; nephews, Tylor Bonner and wife, Rebecca, Anthony Bonner and wife, Lacie; great nephews, Carter Bonner and Weston Bonner; great nieces, Tinzleigh Bonner, Adalynn Bonner and Elayne Bonner; aunts, Pat Ryker, Cookie Barton and Teresa Barton; the mother of his children, Jolea Barton; step-daughter, J'lyen Tracy; mother-in-law, Tamara Rogers; and many cousins and friends.
