Leonard A Witt

Leonard Alvie Witt, 93, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015, in Seymour.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at the Assembly of God Church with Sister Joyce Evans, Rev. Jim Ezzell and Rev. Melissa Hudson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery with military graveside rites under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Leonard was born July 24, 1921 in Bryson, Texas to Hopp and Louisa Baker Witt. He was a 1941 graduate of Seymour High School and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, stationed in the Pacific. Leonard married Cledia Hutchison on November 18, 1945 in Seymour. She died april 20, 2014. He worked as an electrician for the City of Seymour, had been a member of the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

1 Daughter - Linda Larson of Seymour

5 Grandchildren - Kimberly Parr, Jennifer Elliott, Stephanie Johnson, Jonathan Witt and Christopher Witt

6 Great Grandchildren

Numerous nieces and nephews

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
