Linda Darlene Gordon, nee Peters, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Arlington. She was born on May 22, 1949 to August and Mary Peters. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who touched the lives of many with her kindness, strength and unwavering faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Gordon, her parents, August and Mary Peters and her brother, August Peters, Jr.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Kelly Bowker and Holly Masters, as well as her grandchildren, Ryan, Zachary and Mary Masters. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Linda’s love for her family knew no bounds and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In 1971, Linda married the love of her life, Patrick in Texas. Their marriage was a true partnership filled with love, laughter and devotion. Linda and Patrick shared many wonderful years together until his passing in September of 2008.
She was a graduate of Seymour High School and went on to establish her own business, M&G Business Services, specializing in helping home health care companies operate efficiently. Her expertise in Medicare within home health agencies made her a well-respected figure in her field.
A devout Catholic, Linda’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was actively involved in the Pro-Life movement and was a dedicated member of Operation Rescue, where she tirelessly advocated for the sanctity of life.
In her free time, Linda enjoyed collecting movies and watching British comedies and game shows. She had a passion for reading gossip magazines and loved spending time with her small dog companions.
Linda was known for her giving nature, her short stature and her unwavering love for animals. Her laughter and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bose Jujuvarapu officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Bomarton Catholic Cemetery in Bomarton.
