Lois Jo Childers

Lois Jo Childers gained her angel wings on Easter Sunday morning, April 17th, 2022 at her nursing home in Wichita Falls, Tx. Lois Jo was 76 years old.

Lois Jo's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were fortunate to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.

Lois Jo was born on August 17, 1946 in Jacksonville, Texas to Perry Vernon and Minnie Lois Scruggs Childers, Sr.  She studied cosmetology and enjoyed driving big rigs, watching bull riding and playing games on her computer, spending time with her Mother and watching movies.

Most importantly, Lois Jo was a Mom. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. There was never a day that went by where she didn't brag about her beautiful babies to someone who would listen.  She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Vernon Childers, Sr., her step-father, Kenneth Hunter and three brothers, Curly Childers, Jim Hunter and Donald Hunter.

Lois Jo is survived by her loving children, Thomas Puckett, (56), Renee Walton, her grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, James and Maylyssa along with her great granddaughters Bella, Rhia, Melody and Ianna, her mother Lois Hunter, and her brother, John Hunter, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends...

Inurnment will be in the Masonic Cemetery on Saturday, April 30 at 11:30 a.m. under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to a charity of your choice.
