Martin G. Carmona, Sr.

Martin G. Carmona, Sr., 73 of Seymour, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 in Seymour.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 110 W. Lincoln, Seymour, Texas.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Martin was born February 12, 1950 in Brownsville to Jose and Rosalia Garza Carmona, Sr. and worked at Contech Construction Products for over 40 years.  Martin loved to fish and was quite the joker.  He spent a lot of his time waxing and buffing his vehicles and keeping them pristine.  He was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Hernandez; his children, Theo Torrez, Jesse Ortega, Martin Carmona, Jr., Timothy Carmona, Mona Hernandez, Joe and Ruth Hernandez and Vanessa Hernandez; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
