Michael Anthony Arnold

Michael Arnold, 55 of Seymour, passed from this life on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his home in Seymour.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Red Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Roberts officiating.  Burial will be in the Henson Cemetery in Red Springs under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Michael Anthony Arnold was born on November 17, 1968 in Dallas to Richard and Dorothy Prewitt Arnold.  He attended school in Celina, Texas before joining the Army National Guard, where he proudly served as a tank mechanic for five years.  He married the love of his life, Leslie Schlesener, on July 27, 1996 in Dalhart.  During their 28 years of marriage, they were blessed with 3 wonderful children.

Michael was employed over the years as a truck driver by several trucking companies.  His hard work and love for truck driving supported his family well.  Michael accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 1984.  Along with his deep love for the Lord, he loved spending time with his family, playing games and working on the farm.  Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Arnold and his mother-in-law, Jay Schlesener.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie; two sons, Brandon Arnold and Nathan and Briana Arnold; a young daughter, Addi Jean Arnold and a new grandson, Cooper Andrew Arnold.  He is also survived by his dad, Richard Arnold; two younger brothers, Ricky Arnold and Toby and Jennifer Arnold and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to the Henson Cemetery Association.
