Nell Ruthrauff, 91 of Seymour, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 in Seymour.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Warren, Jimmy Martin and Eddie McAlvain officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Nellie Irene Ruthrauff was born on August 11, 1930 in Dallas County to Joseph and Grace Parker Conner and was a graduate of Garland High School. Nell married Reed Elliott in 1950 in Garland and Orie Ruthrauff in 1974 in Burkburnett. She was preceded in death by both her husbands, Reed in January of 1969 and Orie in 2009. Nell was a homemaker and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church and the Senior Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Seymour Hospital Auxiliary (Pink Ladies) and the Senior Citizens Center. Nell was a good Christian wife and a loving mother to her 5 children.
She is survived by 3 sons, Robert Elliott of Seymour, Kenneth and Cheryl Elliott of Seguin and Timothy and Marlys Elliott of Seymour; 2 daughters, Rita and Edward McAlvain of Wichita Falls and Brenda Elliott of Denton; 2 sisters, Betty Holt of Irving and Beth Roberson of Mesquite; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Seymour Meals on Wheels.
