Neona (Johnson) Masten

Neona (Nonie) Maston, 58 of Seymour, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 in Dallas.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harvest Christian Fellowship in Seymour TX, with Dan Befort officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Nonie was born August 10, 1963 in Knox City to Garry Johnson and Josie Reynolds Lewis and was a graduate of Knox City High School and Vernon Regional Jr. College School of Nursing.  She worked as a nurse in Knox City and Seymour.  Neona married Greg Masten on September 6, 2004 on her father’s ranch in King County.  Neona was a devoted wife, adoring mother, dear friend, and above all a loving grandmother.  She loved her cookie jars and had a collection of more than 500. She could often be found in her custom cookie jar house, rearranging and admiring them.. Nonie loved spending time with her grandchildren, and always had something fun for them to do when they were at Grandma and Pawpaws house. Neona was preceded in death by her parents, Josie Lewis and Garry Johnson and a brother, Danny Jack Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Maston; a son, Garry Lee and a daughter, Sarah Jo; a brother, Clint Lewis; a sister, Malinda Reid; her beloved grandchildren, Hunter, Mikaela, Halton, Arian, Tristan and Abrielle Neona; 5 nephews, Daren, Bobby, Carson, Cason and Calhan and 1 niece, Glory.
