Neva Ann James

Neva Ann Stewart James, 61 of Seymour, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 in Seymour.

Services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Harvest Christian Fellowship in Seymour with Rev. Sonny Smart officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the Quanah Cemetery in Quanah, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Neva was born September 21, 1963 in Seminole to Jerry and Lena Franks Stewart. She attended school in Seminole. Neva worked in restaurants all of her life. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Lena Stewart; a son, J.J. Hocking; a sister, Nancy Stewart and a brother, Denny Stewart.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Michael Jurney of Oklahoma and Bradley James and wife, Morgan of Seymour; 6 daughters, Kimberley Hocking and Fa’lena Hocking both of Arkansas, Emily Bacon and husband, Matthew of Seymour, Connie Provost of Bowie, Andrea James of Odessa and Angela James of Lubbock; her bonus daughter, Makayla D’Nell of Glenn Rose; her lifelong friend, Doyle James of Seymour; a sister, Annetta Kendrix and husband, Robin and 9 grandchildren, Kobi, Kahlan, Amelia, Liam, Niklas, Grayson, Westin, Cooper and Tripp.

Visitation will be from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
