Patsy Sue Malone, 68 of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 in Wichita Falls.

 

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

 

Patsy was born on St. Patricks’s Day, March 17, 1956, the twin sister to Betsy Lou Malone, to Wallace Lee “Tiny” and Ruby Frances Slaggle Malone in Seymour. She graduated from Seymour High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. Following graduation, she and her sister moved to Austin, where Patsy became a registered pharmacist, receiving her degree from the University of Texas. Patsy worked at Baylor Drug and Fergeson Drug in Seymour, pharmacies in Corpus Christi, Bracketville, Jacksboro, Olney and Knox City, throughout her life. Patsy lived in Corpus Christi for a time, to care for her ex-sister-in-law, Linn Porter Malone. After Linn’s passing, she moved to Bracketville, living there for a short time before coming home to Seymour to care for her mother. She was a beloved cousin and a lifelong horsewoman.

 

Patsy was preceded in death by her father, Tiny Malone in 1981; her mother, Frances Malone in 2008; her twin sister, Betsy Lou Malone in 1980 and her brothers, Ralph Malone in 2016 and James Malone in 2021.

 

She is survived by several cousins.
