Pattie L Bratcher

June 5, 1946 — August 1, 2020

Pattie Lynn Farr Bratcher died August 1, 2020 in Wichita Falls Tx. Pattie was a Godly woman of prayer, a loving wife and an amazing Mother and Nonnie. She was born on July 5, 1946 to Patsy (Jones) and Robert James Farr in Seymour TX. She graduated Seymour High School and attended Texas Tech University. Pattie lived most of her life in Texas and enjoyed hunting fossils, going on popsicle picnics and growing pretty much anything she touched. She married Larry Fred Bratcher on November 23, 1967 in Seymour Tx. They spent 53 years together and enjoyed each other's company very much. Throughout her life Pattie was known as a prayer warrior. She also memorized many scriptures and would often have one on the ready for when a friend needed encouragement and truth spoken into their lives. In her younger years she led groups of paleontologists from The Smithsonian Institute on fossil expeditions around Baylor County. She would later take her children and grandchildren on these same adventures. Pattie served on the board for the Whiteside Museum in Seymour. Pattie was owner of a successful craft business, Generations, that sold mostly hairbows. She traveled all over selling her items and while doing so sharing Jesus. She and Larry hosted and sponsored many church events, including youth mission trips and backyard bible clubs. Pattie could draw a crowd! In her later years she and Larry planted a vineyard in Knox county. She taught us all many lessons out working those rows. An avid cyclist, she rode in the Hotter Than Hell 100 many times. All that knew her loved her. She was authentic, gracious, tenacious, Godly, loving, adventurous and a true friend. Her greatest love was the Word of God and our heavenly Father Jesus. Larry ran a close second as did her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pattie was bigger than life and will be greatly missed. When you think of her, follow her legacy and pray for others; read your bible and share His love. She had a passion for several ministries; Eagle Lake Camps of The Navigators and Insight For Living.
Pattie is survived by her husband, Larry. Her three children; Bob Bratcher and wife Sonja. Elizabeth Ann James and husband Stephen. Heather Belle Smith and husband Jay. Grandchildren Lauryn McElmurry, Jordan Lewis, Meghan Lynn Gordon, Dale Robert James, Merideth James, Taya Isabelle James, Isaac James and Jack Smith. Great grandchildren; Tucker Lewis, Sheridan McElmurry, Harper Kate Lewis and Stella Grace Gordon.
Her celebration of life service will be Saturday, September 19 at The Ice House in Seymour TX at 3pm .
