Paul Ross Moline Jr passed away on Saturday, August 10,2024 in Round Rock at the age of 93.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. with Dr. Jon Moline officiating at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas with military graveside rites rendered by the United States Air Force under the direction of Archer Funeral Home in Seymour, Tx.
Ross was born on December 11, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas to Paul Ross and Elsie Nelson Moline. His first real job, while still in high school, was working for the Fort Worth Stockyards. Following high school, Ross, along with his cousin Charlie, enlisted in the United States Air Force for the Korean War. While in the service, Ross married Ellen Kennedy on May 21, 1955 in Fort Worth. After his discharge from the Air Force, Ross went to work for General Dynamics in Fort Worth as a materials purchasing agent assigned to the F-111 and F-16 aircraft programs. In 1977 Ross caught the entrepreneurial bug, cashed out his General Dynamics Stock and bought a small Gulf Oil distributorship in Seymour, Texas. As a result of this endeavor Ross and both sons became pilots, which in turn inspired Ross to become a fuel distributor for Phillips 66 Aviation Products. The business grew to marketing and supplying aviation fuel products in five states.
Ross made the decision to sell the company after his wife of 59 years, Ellen, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He and Ellen toured the western states, including Alaska and Canada, for nearly 10 years. In 2012, Ross understood he was no longer able to fully care for Ellen so they decided to move into The Court at Round Rock. Ellen preceded Ross in death in October of 2013.
