Pauline V Graves

Pauline Virginia Graves, 92, of Seymour passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 in Seymour.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at the Red Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Cody Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Vera Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Pauline was born February 3, 1926 in Paris, Texas to Alonzo and Pearlie Mae Asberry Chandler. She attended the Vera Schools. Pauline worked for Northrup Aviation, while living in California. During this time, she worked briefly in the office of Chuck Yeager. She spent the majority of her life working on the farm and was an accomplished seamstress. Pauline married James Graves in 1958 in Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Pearlie Mae Chandler; a sister, Wilma Bentley; and 4 brothers, Oran Nelson Chandler, Edison Winford Chandler, William Henry Chandler and Wilburn Lee Chandler.

She is survived by her husband, James Graves of Seymour; 2 daughters, Johnnie Christine Hickman of Detroit, Michigan and Mary Ruth Marko of Florida; a sister, Doris LaVerne Brandt of Bronte and 3 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
