R.A. Riley

R.A. Riley, 82 of Throckmorton, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the Woodson Cemetery in Woodson, Texas under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

R.A. was born on October 14, 1939 in the Titus Community to T.P. and Nova Allison Riley.  He was a graduate of Throckmorton High School and worked as a pumper in the oil field all his life.  He married Judy Ann Richards on July 16, 1959 in San Angelo.  R.A.’s passion was work but in his younger days he enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.  However, once the grandchildren came along, his real joy in life became keeping his grandchildren and attending their ballgames.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Riley and a son Richard Riley.

He is survived by his two sons, Dale and Tammie Riley and John and Rhonda Riley all of Throckmorton; a sister, Pat Cornelius of San Angelo; 5 grandchildren, Cole, Clay, Will, Nathan and Katelyn and 8 great grandchildren, Lily, Cindy, Caysen, Hale, Cody, Callen, Cooper and Hucklen and a baby boy on the way.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to a Hospice of your choice.
