In retirement she developed a new passion for sewing and quilting and spent many happy hours sewing away on numerous projects. Her other great passion was her family. She loved her family dearly and the light of her life was her granddaughter Makayla.  She renewed her faith in Christ while living in Seymour and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Seymour

She is survived by her daughter Kim Witt and husband, Lance Parr of Bryan; a granddaughter, Makayla Parr of Bryan; a brother, Nathan Witt of Seymour; 2 nieces Jennifer and husband Justin Elliot of Red Springs, Stephanie and husband Monty Johnston of Wichita Falls 2 nephews Jonathan and Christopher Witt both of Seymour, 5 grandnephews and 1 grandniece and numerous cousins all over the state.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister in law.
