Senna Jane (Shumate) Winn

Senna Winn, 93 of Red Springs, passed from this life on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at her home in Red Springs, surrounded by her children.

Services will be on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Red Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Godkin and Rev. Russell Roberts officiating.  Burial will follow in the Henson Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Senna Jane Winn was born on November 26, 1930 in Red Springs to Pete and Maude Tucker Shumate.  She was a 1947 graduate of Seymour High School.  Senna married Arnold Duaine Winn on June 19, 1948 in Holiday.  Arnold passed away on October 23, 2018, after 70 years of marriage.  Senna was a member of the Seymour Hospital Auxiliary and the Red Springs Baptist Church.  She was a faithful servant of the Lord.

She is survived by 3 sons, Pete and Sue Winn of Seymour, Clarence and Linda Winn of Wichita Falls and Kyle and Dee Winn of Seymour; a daughter, Carlene and Don Gulley of Wichita Falls; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy Winn, Katie Fortenberry, Dustin Winn, Sara Pribyla, Emily Riordan, Holly Clabaugh, Dusty Fry, Cody Fry, Brett Gulley and Lori LeMay and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Red Springs Baptist Church.
