Terry Lee (Engel) Arjes

Terry Lee (Engel) Arjes, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, 71,

went to be with her Lord on August 2, 2024, after a short stay in the Seymour Rehabilitation and Healthcare Facility.

Terry was born January 27, 1953, in Mendota, Illinois to Albert W. and Dorothy A

(Carlile) Engel. She grew up in Mendota, Illinois and attended Mendota Township High

School.

She married the love of her life, William Dale Arjes July 22, 1972. Terry worked in the

printing industry. She and Bill were stalwarts in their churches, serving as an elder in

Mendota and recently joined their church in Seymour, Texas. Terry had a kind, generous

heart, and made everyone she encountered feel loved. She honed her generous heart

in working at the 2 nursing homes in Mendota over many years.

She was preceded in her death by her beloved husband, Bill, her parents, and niece,

Kristi Glaser, and a great grandson, Bodie Ames Arjes.

Terry is survived by 2 sons, Matt (Donna) Arjes, Anthony (Kimberly) Arjes, a daughter Tammy (Rob) Hill, 6 grandsons Tanner (Shelby) Arjes, Eli Arjes, Aiden Arjes, Braden Hill, Wyatt Arjes, and Jensen Arjes; 3 granddaughters Addison Arjes, Rylee Hill, and Sabra Myers; a great grandson Curran Arjes; a sister Betty Engel; 2 brothers Alan (Michele) Engel and Dale Engel.

Services will be held in Mendota, Illinois at a later date. Cremation arrangements

were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, TX.
