Wacila Cumba

Wacila Cumba, 68, of Euless, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Fort Worth.
Services were held Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church with John Welter and Dan Siegert, officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Wacila was born April 19, 1945 in San Diego, California to J.C. and Gearldeen Thornhill Pruett. The family moved to Seymour in the late 1940's where she attended Seymour Schools. Wacila went to nursing school, receiving her L.V.N. certification and worked for the Seymour Hospital Authority for over 30 years as the manager of the Dietary Department. She married Benny Cumba on August 18, 1973 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour. He died on February 20, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Gearldeen Pruett. Wacila was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Darla Holder and husband, Richard Euless; a son, Keith Cumba and wife, Sheila of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Janie Eddleman and husband, Steve of Seymour; 4 grandchildren, Jarrod Cumba and wife, Kandi; Brandon Cumba and wife, Bekah; Bradley Higgins and wife, Lorin; and Jordan Smith; 3 step-grandchildren, Rich; Ryder and Marina; and 4 great grandchildren, Kaden; Ella; Lilith; and Logan.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Seymour Cemetery Association.
